Nurul Farhana: No pressure to do well

PETALING JAYA: Although she was sometimes teased by her friends about being the Education Ministry secretary-general’s daughter, Nurul Farhana Zulkurnain (pic) never felt pressured from her parents to perform.

“Sometimes my friends would say ‘what would happen if you don’t get an A?’ and I would just reply that I would have to work harder,” she said when she collected her Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah results yesterday.

The SK Kampung Tunku Year Six pupil’s father is Tan Sri Dr Zulkurnain Awang.

Nurul Farhana, who scored 5As, said she did exercises every day and discussed trial questions with friends.

The 12-year-old did not have any problems answering her Mathematics and Science papers in English al­­though her fa­­vou­­­rite subject was still Bahasa Ma­­laysia because it was easy to sco­re.

Dr Zulkurnain said that al­­though he could not spend a lot of time with his daughter because of his work schedule, he always prayed for her success.

“The most meaningful gift for a parent is to see his child do well in school,” he said.

exam menjelma dan aku terpakse mengerah segala sel2 dlm otak aku utk studii..arghhh..dengan kebolehan aku membce aku rase aku x mampu utk mengcover smua subjek...td aku, em dan muaz studi 열역학(thermo dynamics) dan gabungan kebolehan kami hanya mampu cover satu bab saje dalam satu malam..pe cer??..adehh..musnah lah harapan aku dapat 장학금(scholarship) kolej..heh..x update blog minggu ni nmpk gayenye..hmm..pe nk jd jd ler..janji hidop ni hepi kn??..ni la aku nye jadual exam dis week -
